OUR STORY

Today BCC is a church with over 500 people regularly connected through Sunday services, life groups, children and youth programmes and community action. With over 40 nationalities, multiple services and many weekly gatherings, we have a strong commitment to families, community service and international mission.

Our church has a rich history that dates back to 1928, when a small group of men and women founded what was then "Glad Tiding's Hall" in Bromley North.  The Church has moved to three separate locations and is now based at its current site on Masons Hill.

Many people have invested their lives with us and given their time, talent and resources in their generation and for the ones that have followed.

In 2018, we celebrated 90 years of community impacting history.

As a church, you won’t be surprised that our role model is Jesus and our passion is that we try and live the kind of lives that He showed us was possible; full of generosity, compassion, kindness, mercy and with heart to truly love people.

You will hear us talking about being disciples of Jesus. If you aren't sure what that means, it is simply someone who puts their trust in Jesus and follows His teaching, and helping others to discover the same.

A disciple is a learner, a student, an apprentice, a practitioner.  Disciples of Jesus are people who don’t just profess certain views as their own but work to apply their growing understanding of the life Jesus showed was possible to every aspect of their life on earth. It leads us to becoming more loving, generous, compassionate, kind and caring to the people around us, which we think is revolutionary as it reflects God’s attitude towards us.

So that’s why we’re here and what we’re about. Whether you are a believer or have no faith at all, whether you are new to Bromley or have lived here all your life – we’d love to help you find hope, a place to belong and friends to walk a journey with you towards the life Jesus showed us was possible.
