RWANDA

BCC MISSION WORK WITH RWANDA

It started with a heart to be part of what God is doing in Rwanda from the time we heard the testimony from one of our church family members who survived the Genocide back in 1994.

We partnered with Compassion UK in 2016 and as a result, over 60 children are now being sponsored in Rwanda by BCC people!

Compassion’s aim is to empower the local people to be able to work alongside their selected building contractors and in so doing, help not only with the development of the community, but also boost aspects of the local economy.

As a result of two Christmas Giveaway’s and the additional generosity of the church family, we have managed to finance the costs of a ‘Sanitation Block’ building project which will be starting this year for 195 children.

We will have our first mission trip to Rwanda in 2019, where we will be able to visit the children, their families, the pastors, the mission and the Intervention.

We had our first mission trip to Rwanda in November 2019, where we 10 members of BCC were able to visit the Sanitation project that we as a church were able to fund, tour the different projects that we have supported, visit our sponsored children in Rwanda and establish how else we can help.

Before their departure we ran a Back-Pack Project, with the aim of covering every child's most basic needs and to demonstrate our love by donating 'school stationary filled back packs' and ‘sports equipment’.

In total we were able to raise 125 backpacks -  88 filled with school materials + 37 empty backpacks with extra school materials in bulk.

Please email us if you would like more information.

We’re here to help.
